How many times have I’ve been asked “What’s It Like”? “How many years have you been doing this”? “Do you ever have any trouble”? “What is the new dancer interview like”? Want to find out the answers? Over time these questions and more will be answered.

How many times have I been told “Man, you have the best job in the world”. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard that I’d be retired by now. Ok, it’s not the worst job in the world but it comes with its clear and presents.

Building and maintaining a good reputation. Never mind the professional sites, the lies and gossip spreaders. Due to the nature of this biz who would question them? Personal attacks come from x-dancers, former bouncers, applicants not hired. jealous xboyfriends and especially the competition who can’t beat you. Just be ready for anything. “Man, you have the best job in the world”. Plainly said anybody making this statement never thought about this business in-depth.

You’re a target… All dance agencies are targets due to misconceptions (dancers aren’t escorts, at least here at PD). Your a target for dancer hopefuls who thought this job was easy money but then found it takes dedication and talent to be good at it. For unqualified bouncers who couldn’t protect themselves no less a carload of dancers. For a lowlife who wants to take advantage of somebody. Your a target of competitors who go low because they can’t compete (Hint: It takes effort). Your even a target for deer who commit suicide by running into your truck at 3am on I95.

“Man, you do have the best job in the world”. With an huge amount of responsibility. Making sure the dancers get to shows on time, insuring quality control and then back in one piece night after night. I’m happy to say PartyDancersUSA has done this safely for 27 years with no customer caused dancer injuries to date. I’m happy to say we’ve built some truly great dancers here, we’ve had a few outstanding bouncers and had the pleasure to meet a lot of very cool people having a great time at our events.

“Maybe I do have the best job in the world”? After all these years of doing this yes it becomes second nature. Training makes everything easier. Getting cooperation from dancers gets easier through training, a new bouncer becomes competent and professional… thank you training. It’s easier because after 27 years we know how to instruct new people to get good results. Also knowing what’s important and what’s not.

No there aren’t as many crazy stories to report as of late because the problem people who company policy was written for and about are long gone. At present our policy works and works well keeping our people safe and our customers safe and happy. The important part is having it all come together and earning good reviews. I’ve learned “Don’t sweat the small stuff”.

But wait, there are still 100’s of great stories from the early years that need to be told. So I’ll get to it. I was told by a few people that I shouldn’t tell these stories because the telling of them would scare away potential dancers and clients. Well, if you think a business such as this comes without ever present dangers and complications you are dead wrong. Being prepared always is the key and knowing when to cut your losses to insure safety is paramount.

The Maine Strippers Blog will do two things… piss off a few, the other 98% will laugh their asses off at the sheer nature of these stories. Which by the way only the best be told. Crazy true stories about dancers, deer, customers, venues, hundreds of thousands of miles driven and don’t forget the drugs and booze! All true down to the last detail.

Check back soon to find another insane story posted. New stories from the years (1997 – Present) coming in 2024. Stay tuned.
