“DESTINY DOES JERRY SPRINGER”

Shit the phone’s ringing again, who the hell is it ? And here I am up to my neck in website work I have to finish. Shit ringing again, ok I’m answering.

Oh, “Hi Destiny, sorry I was busy what’s up” ? “Who called you” ? “THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW” ? “They want you to be there on Sunday till Tuesday and what do I think” ?

What I think… hum. First of all what are you going to be doing ? No slapstick, running around the stage dodging fists and bouncers right ? Feature dancer means what ?

Ok as your manager I can’t see where this appearance would be a bad career decision. Just as long as you’re not sitting on the stage at the end of the show while audience members take pot shots at you.

So Do You Meet Jerry During “Destiny Does Jerry” ?

Day 1. Destiny flies off to New York then limo back to Connecticut and Jerry’s Studio in Stamford. She’s introduced to the producer and they briefly discuss what they’re looking for as far as performance.

Destiny calls me at check in and what I hear is she is the only one in this certain motel. The Springer Show went all out and got her a beautiful suite.

She appreciates the nice room but doesn’t understand why she was separated from the rest of the cast members. Oh well, get some rest, talk tomorrow.

Destiny Does Jerry Does Kind Of Sound Like A Porno Doesn’t It ?

Day 2. Monday afternoon I get a phone call at 12:30pm, Dez tells me she’s in the “Green Room” and simply waiting to go on unfortunately her show doesn’t tape until 4:30pm. Sounds like a long day no doubt.

Destiny calls me to describe the scene, some dancers of varying questionable talent. She thinks that this dress rehearsal is to find out who is a genuine dancer and who isn’t. I ask is she’s nervous ? A little yes. I tell her “Listen, just imagine your at Woody’s in February”. She agrees and says that will make this so much easier.

Ok dancers… everybody gets a turn across the ramp, down the pole, nice job hitting that “V” Destiny and great job with the champagne, whoops Tiny the midget dancer crashes. Ok that’s it folks, pack it up and back to the motel.

After that I didn’t hear a word until Dez was being shuffled off to her plane at 7pm. She had just finished the taping and they rushed into the dressing room to tell her “Let’s Go” ! The plane boss, it’s the plane !

The ole “In N’ Out”. Dez’s appearance on The Jerry Springer Show is for the record books. I asked her if she enjoyed it ? She replied “Yes, a good experience”. Great fun even with the waiting around. So much fun seeing how they put all the pieces together. Kind of like what we do here at PD.

CONGRATULATIONS ON 25 YEARS JERRY. IT’S BEEN FUN !

Dez I got to hand to you, great job representing PartyDancersUSA and for kicking off Jerry’s 25th Year Anniversary episode ! It definitely looked like a lot of fun !

Dez got to meet Jerry multiple times and reports he is a nice man and a true professional. Everyone at the show was kind and helpful. They let her wing it when it came to the entry and dancing. Dez is a pro and it shows.

She’s been there multiple times now and no bad accounts. A few funny stories of the antics of the motel people carry on. She felt completely safe and they let her do her own thing during all taping. A+ Jerry Springer and company. Thank you.
